x. Mitzah

Hallo Ocarina! I can't believe it's almost the end of February. Where did the time go? I now have to take out a special instrument and start practicing a song...for Rare's birthday, which is coming up soon. I'll make sure the tune is awful, just like him, JUST KIDDING OMG LOL but no promises.

I'm still feeling pretty lazy with leveling, but going into LLDR with another friend is always nice. On a random weekend, Rare and I went into a LLDR together and we got the lovely Stone Vigil. I also looked at our party list and then I noticed something...

They were a little sproutling, so I checked their search info. Rare and I started laughing really hard because our sproutling got TWO classes unlocked, but they still chose to go as ACN HAHAHAHAHAHA.

Afterwards, I got Rare to try out the Halloween event. WE WERE DEFINITELY NOT MEANT TO BE TEAM MATES, EVEN THOUGH WE RAID TOGETHER. That's all I'm going to say, pft! We were definitely not coordinating when it came to the second duty, which was eating food around the kitchen pub area... SIGH ಠ_ಠ

Later on, Scherza and I did an alliance roulette (*꧆▽꧆*) We got World of Darkness and someone decided to explain every boss. If we had new players, that's fine; however, everyone were not. I think when we saw Cloud of Darkness, somebody pulled early. I didn't want to wait 10 minutes for these explanations, just let me leave.

I also started doing some Endwalker side quests because I wanted to clear up the quest marks that's covering the aetherytes. ᕕ( ᐕ )ᕗ I'm starting with Labyrinthos and I believe I have one side quest left!!

Finding the carbuncle is my second favourite side quest here (Shaggles always win no matter what). If you read the researcher's text... LOL I can't believe they remember this Carbuncle!!!

That's a wrap for now! Until next blog post,

x. Evening Gang - Walmart Phoenix Down!

I hope everyone had a decent weekend because I did!! I know this fight had not been kind to a lot of groups, so I do feel very fortunate that both Cucco and Evening Gang are super patient with one another when it comes to learning new fights.

Now giving back the spotlight to Evening Gang -- Mar (well he doesn't count, he already did Week 1 savage clears), Jordi, and I finally beat Phoinix on Sunday! Good job everyone, now we get to bash our heads against the ugly looking fake Dracula o((*^▽^*))o I have no idea which screenshot to pick so I'm just going to go with my top three favourites LOL.

I thought I was doing poorly in this fight (゚ω゚;) I had to do some ressing towards the end of the fight and just spammed my heals to keep everyone else up (while my MP was....dying). I'll take a blue parse happily!

Here's a WHM PoV clear video, there are some things I'm like "ohs I could've used this..." BUT A CLEAR IS A CLEAR!!

x. Ellie

Hallo Ocarina, how is everyone doing? Family Day is coming up for us Canadians, that means we got a long weekend wahoo! Except for me, I will still be tutoring on Monday. I can't wait for March to come, mostly because the GazettE is going to release a new song/album coming out. Speaking of music, I finally got my FFXIV vinyls from Kiriya!!

I instantly displayed three of them on my piano, look at the art (´◡`)! I now need to go buy a vinyl player, otherwise, they're just going to be sitting there as display.

Ria visited me, Sas, Neru, and Ubi back in December, yes very belated to post this. I was going to bring her to this really decent restaurant that mainly specializes Korean Fried Chicken, but they were really full (no, they don't do reservations). So we went to a nearby restaurant that also happened to serve Korean dishes, and they were actually decent!

Also super belated... Around Christmas, a few of my girlfriends and I decided to go for hotpot for our Christmas gathering. Reservations are allowed, but the time that I wanted was gone, so I decided to call the restaurant to give it a shot. I was genuinely surprised that the hostess spoke perfect English (mind you, this city is Chinese dominant and most people speak broken English in Chinese restaurants).

She told me if I want a 6PM slot, I can book for a 5:45PM slot. She explained that they don't start the 2 hours timer until we started ordering food, so I'm like "SWEET!"

Tokyo had been using this system for years, which is menu tablets, and to see it HERE!? Boy, was I excited to take over the tablet and spam order aka lots of MEAT °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖° !!!

Yes, we ordered a noodle guy from the menu LMAO!! OKAY, it's more like a guy that does some noodle dancing trick and then he plops the noodle into your hot pot. It was hilarious.

I cannot forget... we got a cart booth and under each cart seat, there is STORAGE SPACE FOR YOUR BAGS AND COAT. Like, they really put a lot of thought into these seatings when they were renovating this restaurant. Our waitress was so kind that she helped each one of us put our bags into the storage space AND SHE KINDLY FOLDED OUR COATS NEATLY TOO.

I had an extra bag with me (it was basically my Christmas gifts for my friends), so I had my bag behind me. Our waitress also brought us aprons for us to wear, in case we get messy and get the hot pot soup or sauce on our clothes. We got hair ties and a plastic bag for our phones (just to keep it clean). The best part was our waitress brought an extra bag to COVER UP MY CHRISTMAS GIFT BAG... and she told me it helps to keep my stuff not smell like hot pot. HALLO!?!?!? WHAT IS THIS SERVICE!?

We also get unlimited fruits and ice cream. UNLIMITED. ICE. CREAM. I was so full at the end that I could only order 2 ice cream for myself (ಥ﹏ಥ)

Last month, Neru, Ubi, and Kiriya came over to my apartment to celebrate Sas' birthday. Neru brought over an escape room board game. At the beginning, it was interesting! Until we hit this puzzle and I'm like: Neru and Ubi, please carry. My brain just can't with this.

Basically, this puzzle does require us to follow a trail for 30 steps total, and while we're figuring this out, we need to fill in the blanks. After like three tries, I gave up. But after this puzzle, we were able to solve the case and we won!!

Kipp and I grabbed dinner one evening - bubble tea and Katsu don. Nothing can go wrong with that combo. Did some catching up, and of course, trash talk his skills in raid  ( ≧∀≦ )  JOKING, I DID NOT LOL

Last week, my mom made me lunch and it's my favourite dish from her! It was black bean bittermelon and chicken wings. I LOVE BITTERMELON. IT'S DELICIOUS. If you don't like durian, you may not enjoy bittermelon. Probably think it's the most vile melon on this planet, but that's okay with me, because that means I get more bittermelon to myself ( ˘▽˘)っ

Recently, Sas and I went to a local cafe nearby our area. I wanted to go to a different cafe, but they were swarmed with fan girls because it was some BTS LA concert event. No, I don't follow BTS, but it's hard not to recognize BTS things when you listen to other K-Pop bands.

This cafe is also popular with their black squid ink things and they're somewhat overpriced. Black squid ink sounds unique but it really isn't, considering Hong Kong McDonalds do black squid ink burgers occasionally. There is a faint ink taste... I don't know how to...describe it, it tastes squidy? HAHAHAHA of course, this instantly gets covered if you use sauce or eat it with other things!!

That's all for tonight, have a lovely weekend and stay healthy!

x. House of Songs

Greetings Cucco gang!! I hope Monday treated you nicely this week. I almost felt like wanting to hibernate and burrito in bed for the whole day, but that's probably because I was super comfy.

Did any of you guys do the Halloween Event? This year's event was actually cute and it's different than their previous dungeon runs! The objectives were very straight forward and I personally prefer this one over the previous dungeons.

Look at the details in this dungeon, how is it not cute?

My favourite task was the food one. I do think it was a little spooky when the ghost is coming up from behind while you're eating, so you have to rely on your team mates to kill off the ghosts!!

Random raid things with my other gang -- Jordi was definitely in the Halloween mood since he got the clown head piece immediately when the Halloween event dropped. It actually fits his Au Ra LOL

I took a sneaky screenshot of my favourite SGE, Cien (≧◡≦) ♡, while she was handing me some materials for pots.

No comment at Kipp.

I love how Cien gives me thicc shields too, I always feel safe that I can glare more HUE HUE HUE.

Once again, doing some late night hunts to cap on tomes. I recently got to see the S rank on the moon and this reminded me of  FFXI a lot. Spring is coming soon, I might actually consider subbing back to FFXI for a month mainly for cherry blossom sight seeing.

I sure did go back to Fetes because there are several mounts that I'm still missing. It's also nice to see that this isn't completely dead and there are still people hanging out in the Firmament ヽ(*・ω・)ノ

That's all for now! I hope this week goes well for you, and until next blog post,

x. Hungry Stinky Hippo - DOWN

Going to drop a quick post because this is worth celebrating yayyy ᕦ( ᐛ )ᕤ Cucco raid slapped the shit out of that Hippo recently! Congratulations team and now we're actually getting pretty good at the fight, talk about all that practicing.

Of course, there's always something for me to clip and I do have the clear video (... I clearly made so many mistakes, maybe don't watch it LOL)

Walmart Phoenix, here we go! I thought this fight is not that bad, I find it fun, even though some of the mechanics are kind painful _(:3 」∠)_

On our first night of learning this fight, there's always shenanies ಠ_ಠ

We're totally prepared to get fully cooked in this fight for the next little while!! I personally think we're making decent prog and I honestly can't wait till the group sees the upcoming mechanics huehue. Until next blog post,

Amazing art by YYish (You can click to enlarge it)

Hallo everyone, I hope everyone's weekend went well!! Tonight, I'm doing a short blog post about random things in my life, possibly 99% food pics. Most of these photos happened some time in November 2020 or before omicron became a huge thing in December (and some restrictions came back again, at least in my area).

I'm going to start off with this amazing photo of Taiwanese beef noodles and I got it with tripe. It was very delicious especially during the winter season \\\(۶ ᐛ )۶//// you can still see how hot and steamy my noodles are!!

One evening, I went to grab dinner and drinks with my old friend. When I mean drinks, I don't mean alcohol, I mean bubble tea LMAO also I would've shut down the idea of alcohol because I was driving. We checked out a new bubble tea shop ... well to be honest, the area we were hanging out is literally Little Asia. Instead of being obsessed with Starbucks Coffee, they need their bubble tea, and I'm not exaggerating.

This new bubble tea shop had a very nice design and I'm definitely coming back here again. First thing I noticed were those wall shelves ♡(˚ᗜ˚*)

Does it NOT look nice (*꧆▽꧆*) !? Lmao at the "no poker, no gambling" sign though.

They even have a second floor in their store, which is somewhat rare in the area we're in. So yes, I was very amused.

Of course, I have to take a photo of this for coffee enthusiasts (。・ω・。)♪ However, that night I did not get coffee because there was a drink that I wanted to try from their menu!

I really wanted to check out the second floor so I told my friend I'm going to grab a seat first before ordering. She was already in line and about to order her drink, so I'm technically not hogging a table without any orders!!

I actually enjoyed the drinks... but I'm the type of person who likes to order their drinks half sweet and prefers less or no ice for cold drinks. Hey, I learned a valuable lesson from Starbucks. If you do not explicitly say light ice and you order an iced drink, guess what? You get 99% ice and 1% of your actual drink!!! (๑•̀д•́๑) IT'S A SCAM!!!

I ordered a royal milk tea with grass jelly and pearls. I also get to use my reuseable bubble tea straw (which I sadly did not include in this photo)!

It comes in this really cute container, and inside it, is your straw. It's made out of silicone and you basically put your straw together (cause it starts out flat). Once you're done with your drink, you just open up your straw and clean it!! Simple!! If anyone is interested in them, you can visit here and order yourself one.

Yes... I do recognize these are incredibly expensive for silicone straws but they are more convenient than the metal bubble tea straws (I also have them, but I only use it at home if I order a take out bubble tea)!! Trust me bubble tea enthusiasts, you'll appreciate these if you go out and buy bubble teas frequently. Save the turtles and other beautiful sea creatures, use less plastic straws ♪♪♪ ヽ(・ˇ∀ˇ・ゞ)

I'm also doing some baking here and there. I tried making bread for the first time, it was not very successful... BUT! BUT! BUT! My bread did turned out tasty!! The texture was just wrong. I did show this to Ubi and then it resulted into a long bread lecture and him complaining why I even have a KitchenAid mixer if I'm not using it, especially for making bread LOL

Alright, that's all I have for now. Until next blog post and take care,
